Chinese fashion spirits all over me.

I think I haven’t mentioned it yet but in the university I also study…Chinese :D And in the spirit of today’s first speaking exam in Chinese for me, I decided to dig a bit into the Vogue China’s archives in fashiongonerogue. Honestly, I expected a bit more sessions with the typical Chinese culture in them, but…oh well. What I picked to show you is a nice photo-shoot with beautiful photos, styling and retro spirit. An American retro spirit.

The models are Wang Xiao, Lily Zhi and Zhao Lei, photographed by Lincoln Pilcher , styling- Morgan Pilcher, including Wang, Jacobs, Klein and others. Enjoy!

Все още май не съм ви споменавала, но всъщност едната от подспециалностите ми в университета е...китайски :D И в духа на първият ми устен изпит по китайски, през който трябваше да мина днес, реших да поразгледам из архивите на Вог Китай във FashionGoneRogue. Честно казано, очаквах да срещна малко повече сесии, инспирирани от китайската култура...но нищо, де. Това, на което се спрях, е много приятна сесия с хубави снимки, стайлинг и ретро излъчване. Американско и то.

The name of the photo-shoot is A wind that carries us.  and it's a part of the metal Magazine #28 Issue, which I like more and more because of its great styling sessions and amazing photo-shoots.

The beautiful creation on the face of the model is made by the make-up artist Janine Witherspoon.

Едит, едит, едит. Тук слънцето се показва за 5 минути на ден, но и тези скъпоценни мигове на светлина си заслужават. Точно като на фотосите от тази сесия. В комбо с леко загатнатото море и прекрасният стайлинг става какво? Нов пост в блога :D Шегувкам се.

Charlotte for Oyster.

Наскоро се натъкнах на приятна фотосесия на Charlotte Gainsbourg за списание Oyster – The Music Issue. Много земна, не класически красива, но пък много чаровна и прекрасна актриса, а в последно време и музикант-такава е Шарлот. Може да сте я срещали в Melancholia на Lars von Trier, в I’m not there редом до покойния Heath Ledger, а за мен лично е най-добрата  Джейн Еър от всички, които съм гледала.
Фотографът е Will Davidson, а стайлингът на Stevie Dance.

I ran into a nice photo-shoot a few days ago-it's Charlotte Gainsbourg for Oyster - The Music Issue. Very down-to-earth, not classically beautiful, but really charming and a great actress plus a musician-that's what Charlotte is. You may have met her in Melancholia from the director Lars von Trier, in I'm not there next to the late Heath Ledger, and personally for me she's the best Jane Eyre from all I've seen.
The photographer is Will Davidson, the styling is by Stevie Dance.

Pastel Spring.

Убедена съм, че няма човек, който се интересува от мода и не знае, че тази пролет пастелните цветове са хит. Предвид факта, че тъмните цветове май преобладават в гардероба ми…ще трябва да се потрудя, за да съм в крак :D И все пак започнах добре сезона с новото кожено яке от немския шопинг, дано пастелите продължат да навлизат бавно, но сигурно в стила ми J

А за вдъхновение-една фотосесия на Quinta Witzel за мартенското издание на Nylon. Фотограф е Justin Hollar, стилист - James Rosenthal, със специалното участие на произведения с марка Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton etc. Между другото, свежата, бонбонена, розова коса (прилича ми на захарен памук) е дело на Martin-Christopher Harper. Ако бях по-смела, и аз бих изпробвала такава визия. Представяте ли си-дори и облечена в черно отгоре до долу - пак ще съм модерна ехххх…колко възможности ни дава модата в днешно време J

I’m pretty sure that there’s no one who’s interested in fashion and doesn’t know that pastel tones are a must-have this spring. Considering the fact that I have a great amount of dark colors in my closet…I should work hard to be fashionable this season :D I started it good though, with the new jacket from the German shopping, hope pastels keep coming slowly, but surely in my style J

Here’s some pastel inspiration- a photo-shoot of Quinta Witzel for the Nylon March issue. The photographer is Justin Hollar, stylist-James Rosenthal, specially co-staring masterpieces by Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton etc. By the way, the fresh, candy, pinkish hair (looks like cotton candy) is made by Martin-Christopher Harper. If I was bolder, I’d like to try such a vision. Can you imagine-even dressed head-to-toe in black-being modern that way…how much opportunities does fashion give us today J
